Victor Cables Corporation
Having a legacy of of over 100 years as leaders in Wire manufacturing by its Parent Company M/s Pannalal Girdharlal Ltd, we were founded in 1955 by a visionary Mr. B K Gupta after his extensive training in Cable manufacturing at Enfield Cables Ltd, UK (a BICC Group Company).
Victor Cables Corporation Ltd is a leading Cable manufacturing Company in India and enjoys an enviable track record for its quality and delivery. The Company has been known for its being a technologically advanced Cable manufacturer which is evident from its many firsts which include pioneering the manufacture of Railway Signalling Cables in 1966 and of LT XLPE Cables in 1985 (in technical collaboration with Showa Electric Wire & Cable Co. Ltd, Japan — TOSHIBA Group).
The Company is now headed by the late founder’s son – Mr. Shivraj Krishna Gupta, the Chairman & Mg Director. He is assisted by a team of dedicated professionals.
The Company’s R & D wing has successfully developed Specialized Cables & Wires for the High Speed Railways and Cables for Undersea & offshore Applications.
Landmarks
–1955 Commence operations with manufacture of VIR Rubber Cables.
–1960 Commence manufacture of PVC insulated Cables.
-1964 Set up Ghaziabad (UP) plant.
–1966 Commence manufacture of Enamelled Copper Wires.
–1966 Commence manufacture of Railway Signalling Cables.
–1972 Amongst the first few to be licensed to manufacture PVC Power Cables upto 11 KV.
–1980 Ghaziabad plant closed and Faridabad plant set up.
–1981 The Promoters acquire the balance 48% shareholding in M/s Pannalal Girdharlal Pvt Ltd (now renamed as Standard Wiring Systems Ltd)
–1981 Faridabad plant commences manufacturing operations
–1984 Technical collaboration agreement signed with Showa Electric Wire & Cable Co Ltd, Japan (TOSHIBA Group) to pioneer the manufacture Low Voltage (1.1 KV) XLPE insulated Power Cables in India. Manufacturing team undergoes training at Collaborators plant in Japan
–1985 Commence supplies of LT XLPE Cables to APSEB & DESU.
–1986 Commence manufacture of FRLS Cables.
–1996 Signed an MOU with Daesung Cable Co.Ltd, Seoul, South Korea to establish a Joint Venture to manufacture Wiring Harness for Automobiles.
–2010-11 Relocated the Faridabad plant to Pathredi Industrial Area, Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) with the State of the Art manufacturing facility.
–2018 Installed plant to manufacture Contact Wires for Indian Railways. Obtained RDSO Approval
–2019 Commenced supplies to Indian Railways
–2023 Commenced manufacture of Control Cables & Instrumentation Cables from Pathredi plant
–2023 Victor Rail Systems Pvt Ltd set up for entering the growing Indian Railway’s Overhead Electrification business segment.
–2023 Obtained approval to manufacture Copper Silver Contact Wires for Indian Railways
